DevOps Engineer

Elite Technical has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to fill a position in our client's Space Control group in Colorado Springs, CO. The DevOps engineers in this group work across multiple programs setting up a consistent CI/CD pipeline ensuring that our client is delivering to the end customer quickly and with high quality.

Essential Functions:
- Analyzing, designing, developing release automation for operations and applications
- Defining best practices, guidelines and standards that balance short term and long term objectives in a practical manner
- Creating tools to allow development teams to self-serve their platform needs (continuous integration / delivery pipeline)
- Creating and monitoring health checks for the services on our client's programs
- Establishing and implementing resiliency and performance testing
- Continuously iterate and improve systems
- Working closely with multiple teams; communicating to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; daily interaction with developers and participation in the development process is required.

Required Skills

Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or a similar discipline
- 2+ years pf experience in the following:
o Linux administration using a terminal application in Centos/Redhat
o Developing docker or OCI build files
o Developing docker-compose, kubernetes and helm files for container orchestration
o Managing CI/CD servers and agents in jenkins or similar application
o Familiarity with managing Jira, Mattermost, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, or Artifactory (experience with at lest one of these tools is required)

Preferred/Desired Additional Skills:
- Managing automated configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Developing infrastructure as code files in yml for tools like Ansible and Kubernetes
- Managing virtualization infrastructure like ESXI and VMware.
- Experience with PKS/Tanzu
- Managing containers and/or Kubernetes, including configuring secrets, networks, volumes, and namespaces
- Managing users, groups and roles in IPA or another LDAP application
- Installing and using Cybersecurity tools like ACAS or twistlock to monitor compliance with NIST and DISA standards
- Experience with networking configuration including setting up DNS, VLANs, and routing tables
- Developing and managing service mesh configurations for Istio
- Developing CI/CD configuration as code such as jenkinsfiles, bamboo-specs, or travis.yml files
- Managing Certificate Authorities and updating, generating, and signing certificates
- Experience with deploying and synchronizing classified offline developmental environment through a multi-level security guard
- Problem solving skills, willingness to learn new technologies
- Results-oriented, organized, detail oriented and self-directed
- Agile team environment
