Apprentice Plumbers assist in the assembly and installation of all phases (Rough-in, top-out, and Finishing or Trim-out) in accordance with city, state, and or federal plumbing codes, and safety standards. Apprentice Plumbers work under the supervision of a Licensed Plumber while learning to install, modify, inspect, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in the building process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Interested in starting or continuing apprenticeship in the plumbing field
  • Prior Apprenticeship experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Take and pass a drug test

Apprentice Plumbers must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the plumbing field. Apprentice Plumbers learn to install, modify, inspect, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures in gas, water and drainage systems according to applicable building codes. Apprentice Plumbers perform necessary tasks on all phases of plumbing.

Must be able to learn to identify plumbing and safety problems applicable to installation and take necessary corrective action. Must be able to learn to read blueprints, take supervisor or contractor instruction and complete quality control sheets. Must be able to follow directions.
