Job Description

Assists senior technicians in the operation and maintenance of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system.

Performs preventative maintenance tasks and repairs.

Performs building rounds and readings.

This role is for D Shift.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1 year technical or equivalent or 0-3 years of work-related experience and/or specialized training. Basic knowledge of cooling towers, process cooling water systems, chillers, scrubbers, process vacuum systems, water treatment, chemical handling, and wastewater treatment.

Must have knowledge of safety policies and procedures. Knowledge of mechanics and aptitude for performing repairs is also required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical specifications, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports pass downs, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with supervisors and employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
